About
Nayelly
Nayelly (like saying Nah to Jelly) is a Dominican Pop-Soul singer songwriter and performer based in Boston. Her music uses genres like Jazz, Folk, and Latin as a rich source for storytelling using both English and Spanish. She uses her voice to tell more than just a story, focusing on melodies as a gateway for connection. “Her voice is earnest and stirring, and the entire room feels the beauty expressed in the music”, the Eagle Tribune quoted in an article. A music and performance instructor for the Movement City Program and a City Music scholarship recipient majoring in Songwriting at Berklee College of Music, Nayelly has ventured into academia to forge her knowledge. Thus, creating music that aligns with how she feels. “My music exists to serve those who need an uplift, a mirror, or a few minutes away from reality.”
With the release of her debut single, Easier Said Than Done, under the wing of Berklee Revelation Records. Nayelly introduces soundscapes that blend everyday stories, providing a space to express sentiments that are hard to admit we have. Nayelly is focused on blending performance, songwriting, and event creation into formats that create community and safe spaces. “ I write for the big sisters, the people who are figuring out who they are, the people who are learning how to feel and exist in their bodies unapologetically, the people who love the drama without being the drama. I want my music to be there for them, just like the music of my favorite artists was and will continue to be there for me”.
